Mountain Home Burger Co. serves up a fantastic array of burgers and sandwiches, all from a convenient drive-through location in Mountain Home, AR. Customers rave about the Original Burger and the decadent Philly Burger, both praised for their flavor and quality. The 'smash sauce' has garnered a cult following, accentuating the juicy patties and crispy fries that many describe as some of the best in town.
Regulars like Pat Hill highlight the friendly ownership, making every visit feel welcoming. However, some diners, such as Dot C, have encountered minor mix-ups with orders—for instance, receiving cheese when none was requested. The fries, deemed “outstanding” by Michael McAlexander and perfectly salty according to Meredith Merkle, complement the burgers beautifully, with many recommending a dip in the ever-popular smash sauce.
For a casual meal that doesn’t skimp on taste, Mountain Home Burger Co. is a must-visit. Despite the limited drive-through setup, the quick service and satisfying bites solidify its reputation. So, if you find yourself craving comfort food in a hurry, this joint is definitely worth the stop!

The presence of a distinctive smash sauce adds a flavorful complement appreciated by patrons. The owners are super nice and they serve the best burgers and fries in town. And now the fries are a bit healthier. Thank you
Yum! One of the best smash burgers! The smash sauce is really good! So happy this is in Mtn Home! They are fast too! Only downside, I ordered no cheese, but got cheese. I will be back to try again! And to try the shakes!
Drive-through only. Located in a parking lot along with several other drive-through, stand-alone businesses. The burger was decent; akin to Smitty's Garage or Steak n' Shake. The fries were outstanding: hot, tasty, and plentiful. The combo was served within two minutes of ordering. I dropped the star rating because there was a sign on the window that said "No tips allowed." I'm not sure what that's about, but I don't like it.
I got the single original burger and it was so crunchy and perfectly greasy it hit the spot. My husband got a patty melt and he loved it. He normally makes his own and they make it perfectly. Their fries were super salty and not wimpy. The fries came with the smash sauce, but I used it on my burger and it made it better! The only problem I had was the chocolate shake, they put so much chocolate in it I couldn't drink it. I will definitely be going back.
This is a good drive through spot for a quick bite or to go. My boyfriend loves burgers because it’s all about beef that’s perfectly cooked. He’s also noticed fast food places are charging more for mediocre food. Mtn Home is worth it. He ordered the Double cheeseburger and fries and finished every bite. A solid crispy burger with crispy fries and a smash sauce that went well with both the burger and fries. The smash sauce is more like a Thousand island, sweet with a little tang. If you’re hungry it’s best to get the double. For lunch get ready to wait in line, or go early, it’s worth it.
My wife and I really enjoy their food, cooked right, good service, and decent price compared to other burger places.
Waited 35 minutes in line after ordering and got cold food! Burger patties were so small and thin. Not impressed at all. Hope they do better.
Hands down the best burger in AR! Nothing beats Ole school smash burgers without the grease!
